    TASI dips;Dubai stocks up
     

     
    Dubai's index hit an eight-week high on Tuesday on optimism following increased likelihood of UAE bourses gaining emerging market status.
     
    Saudi Arabia's Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) fell 0.32 percent to 6,590.65 points, the fourth loss in seven session as investors booked profits in petrochemicals following a month-long index rally.
     
    The petrochem index slipped 0.7 percent with heavyweights Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) and Saudi Arabian Fertilizers Co. (SAFCO) falling 0.2 and 0.8 percent respectively.
     
    Qatar's index slipped 0.7 percent to 8,772 points, snapping a five-day rally as investors booked profits.

    Abu Dhabi's index rose 0.5 percent to 2,632 points — a month-high.
     
    Oman's index hit a two-week high, rising 0.7 percent to 6,373 points.
    The Kuwaiti measure slipped 0.01 percent to 6,365 points.
    The Bahraini index slipped 0.7 percent to 1,409 points.
